Name: Kitty Crosswinds

Physical Description (Including age, gender, appearance, etc.):
Kitty is twenty three and is still mistaken for twelve year old. She's short, about 5'1”, and she is missing her right eye. She usually wears a patch, either a medical one or a dorky black one with a scull and cross bone on it. the scar from the attack extends onto her cheek. She has short chin length red hair that is usually kept in pig tails. She wears simple clothes, usually black shorts, blue sneakers and a wife beater or graphic tee. She has a leather jacket for when its cold and caries a beat up denim backpack instead of a purse.

Character classes (list at least two)
Doctor: A Zookeeper and veterinarian that works at the safari zone.
Rocket: She is an ex-member but still retains the all or nothing mentality.
Burgler- Though not actually a criminal by profession she is not one to follow convention, rules or any one's morality but her own. She's not above stealing unprotected things or She's just not the most moral of people and hardly ever listens to her higher ups.

Emotional Traits:
strong willed, private, loyal, suspicious, foolhardy

Legendary:
Moltres-
Kitty was chosen because she has access to most of The safari zone zoo's facilities and her father is a higher up there. She has veterinary training that could be useful and a well traveled knowledge of both Kanto and foreign species. She also has a personality that doesn't take no for an answer.

Starter Pokemon and/or Team:
She has zero Pokemon in storage.

Jolteon: (Rabbit)♂
Jolteon is her most trained Pokemon and strongestt. She acquired him (cough stole) him as an evee and is the only Pokemon that survived the night she lost her eye. He is protective and trained to attack like a police dog. Hit and strike are the two words that sick this electric fox cat dog onto her foes.

Tauros: (Thunderun)♂
This was the first Pokemon she ever caught. She was about nine when her father took her on the safari excursion with the intent to catch. He sat in the Pokemon storage system until after her accident. He's grumpy and ill behaved when out.

Natu:(unnamed) ♂
She claims to have conquered her fear of bird Pokemon by using the tiny Natu as her seeing eye Pokemon. She doesn't use him for battle at all and he's not so great at being a seeing eye Pokemon for that matter. He was caught in the Hoenn safari zone. She's had him for almost two years and has still failed to name him. Any names she calls him are usually derogatory when he fails at being a seeing eye bird. She harbors a great affinity for him despite this.

Egg:
to become Growlithe: (Cayenne) ♀ .
A gift from Virgil when he showed up to stay with kitty for a bit after returning to Kanto.

The team she lost was: Persian, Sandshrew, Zubat and Ekans .

Occupation:
veterinarian and zookeeper at safari zone. She is currently assigned to field work on the preserve to safely capture and treat wounded Pokemon.

bio
Kitty grew up in Fuschia city where her father worked at the safari zoo. When she was about thirteen she left home to become a trainer but ended up joining up with team rocket. She was reckless and fearless at the time. Her time with them has left her with scars and a criminal record. After a very viscous fall out with the commander of her squad she lost her right eye to a Fearow and now harbors a fear of most bird pokemon. She also lost the majority of her Pokemon in the battle. At nineteen she found herself disillusioned and living back at home while recovering. She kept her nose down and worked at the zoo under her father learning the family trade but had some harassment problems from team rocket and eventually transferred to the safari zone in Jhoto and later Hoenn. she has a handful of badges from all three countries but doesn't consider herself a trainer. She has recently returned home from working in Hoenn and Team rocket has left her well enough alone. After losing an entire team she is reluctant to get new pokemon and has had a team of three for a long time.

Name: Virgil Ashton

Physical Description (Including age, gender, appearance, etc.):
He's a tall skinny brunet. His hair is long and curly and sometimes he gets pretty good ringlets going. He rocks a permanent five o'clock shadow and walks with a swagger. His jeans are ripped and he wears a punk vest with metal studs. He's 24.

Emotional Traits:
Virgil is used to being a badass and getting respected for it. He tends to think hes a better trainer than he really is. He's good with his hands and has been to vocational school for auto mechanics and community college for computers. He isn't so bad at man handling more advanced computer things like proxies and bypassing electronic locks and firewalls. He's a chain smoker and gets grumpy with out his nicotine. He firmly believes in the superiority of Kanto native Pokemon and refuses to catch foreign Pokemon.

character class
Biker- He owns a bike and was indeed once in a gang.
Cooltrainer- He's got an ego that likes badges
Engineer- He's a mechanic and not bad with computers.

Legendary:
none

Starter Pokemon and/or Team:
has some very low level pokemon in storage that he neglects.

Arcanine(Paprika)♀
His pride and joy. He got her in a trade when she was a growlithe.

Likitung (frenchy)♀
His first pokemon.

Ditto(Kyle)♂
Caught while running the Kanto circuit.

Ghastly(Bones)♀
Caught while attending Lavender technical college.

Kofing(Ciggy)♂
The second Pokemon he caught. He has had Ciggy and Frenchy since his gang days in high school.

Cubone(Thumper)♂
caught in lavender. Adorable and also from his high school days.

Occupation:
Mechanic and computer programmer

Bio
Like Kitty, Virgil had a misspent youth. He was a part of a local Celedon biker gang. He befriended Kitty during her rocket days and latter bumped into her after turning his life around a little. He managed to graduate vocational school and go to Lavender community technical college. He wanted to travel after that so he did. He and Kitty have kept in touch while she's been working and he's been running the circuits. He recently found himself flat broke in Sinnoh and Kitty had to wire him money to come home. Virgil has badges and often says he has more of them than he has. He never makes it all the way through a countries circuit and always moved on to the next one early. This is mostly because his Pokemon suck and he can't get past a certain bracket and just wanted to travel.

PostSubject: Re: Applications   Applications EmptyWed May 12, 2010 1:26 am

Name: Phoenix and Cale (Cale's stage name is Snow)

Physical Description (Including age, gender, appearance, etc.):
Phoenix: A slender male with short dark hair and dark gold to light brown eyes. He has a lip ring and some other piercings. Usually dresses fairly utilitarian, except when in the gym. In the gym he has flowing red robes with a flame motif (which Cale keeps having to buy replacements for as they get burned in various places). He would dress like this elsewhere, but Cale refuses to buy him enough outlandish outfits for this to be possible.

Cale: Even more slender than his twin brother, Cale has silver-white hair down to his shoulders, and grey eyes. He wears glasses, except when he's in the gym as Snow, when he becomes quite near-sighted. His Snow persona wears a high-necked blue shirt that is barely loose enough to allow him movement, and on the chest is a tribal design in icy blue that Phoenix picked out. When not battling as Snow, he prefers loose khaki pants and a dress shirt (with a tie on special occasions).

(Tribal Mark: http://www.skinbase.org/files/archive/shots150/226/1-double_ice_trib.jpg)
(Snow/Cale: https://photos-1.dropbox.com/i/o/SJOAKKZ73clL8NG2KuMH-aAYmc2NV6JC9AhHpIICj5g/6989898/1273719600/2be4db4)
(Phoenix: http://fc00.deviantart.net/fs22/f/2007/319/e/a/Fire_Spin_by_darkstep21.jpg)

Character "Classes" (Pick at least two)
Twins: Yes, they're twins, simple as that. Often they do double battles, especially in the gym. Phoenix kind of bullies Cale into becoming Snow so that they can run a "successful" gym.

Leader: They co-run the Viridian Gym. Three leaders after Giovanni left, Pheonix became the senior Trainer, and took on the responsibility as Gym Leader.Phoenix has always been very passionate about the Gym, and rather forced Cale into his role as "Snow," the co-leader of the gym. Cale does the books, and the day-to-day maintenance of the gym. They battle together using the "Fire and Ice" theme. One half of the gym is devoted to fire, the other to ice, and a steam-filled arena is where they fight trainers that make it that far.

Emotional Traits:
Phoenix: Always the more dominant personality of the two, Phoenix latched on to the idea of becoming a gym leader at an early age. When it started looking like a real possibility, he bullied Cale into adopting the persona of Snow, even going so far as to capture and buy ice Pokemon for Cale to fight with. Also a sucker for cliche (see fire and ice)

Cale: Pushed around easily from an early age, he has always worked hard to support his twin, even when he didn't really want to go along with things. Once he's decided on doing something (or is browbeaten into it) he generally works tirelessly towards its completion. Not always the most enthusiastic hammer in the tool shed, he makes up for it with dedication and snark.

Legendary: Articuno has chosen Cale, knowing full well about his dislike of ice Pokemon, for his ability to get things done, even when he doesn't want to. Cale is, as always, reluctant, but easily pushed around by stronger personalities than his own.

Starter Pokemon and/or Team:

Phoenix
- Houndoom (Cerebus)
He got Cerebus as a pup, and trained extensively with it while rising up through the gym ranks. It is by far his strongest Pokemon, and the one that he really shows the most affection to outside of battle.

- Magmar (St. Helen)
One of the many pokemon that once sat in the Gym storage, St. Helen has only recently begun to truly trust Phoenix.

- Growlithe (Ben)
Given to him as a present when he took over leadership of the Viridian Gym, Phoenix could not have asked for a more loyal companion. Unfortunately, being so young also means it is weaker than average for the gym, but constant training sessions are doing their work of catching it up.

- Rapidash (Nightmare)
Another pokemon from the Gym storage, not much to say except that Pheonix enjoys riding it around the gym every once and a while for a laugh.

- Flareon (Junior)
When Cale and Phoenix were both given Eevees as birthday presents, Phoenix immediately evolved his using a fire stone he bought with his savings-to-date. He showers Junior with lots of love and attention when he's around Cale, in yet another ploy to get him to evolve that Eevee into a Glaceon or at least a Vaporeon for use at the Gym.

Snow
- Jinx (Unnamed)
The most recently acquired of the Gym's pokemon, Phoenix traded his 6th (Another Rapidash) for the Jinx so that he and Snow would both have 5 on their team.

- Dewgong (Nate)
Traded for by Phoenix before Cale even agreed to become Snow, Nate used to be the purest white. Now with a singed coat from fighting so many double-battles, Nate seems to enjoy the Gym fights just about as much as Cale does.

- Cloyster (Little Mary)
Having sat in the Gym Storage for more than a few years straight, Little Mary seems pleased any time it gets out to battle, and take out all its frustration in said battles.

- Piloswine (Pearl)
Phoenix bought Pearl soon after taking over the Gym, and it is the Pokemon that he has bullied Cale into training the most with, so it is slightly more responsive to Snow than the others.

- Delibird (Birdy)
Birdy follows Cale around when he does the accounting for the Gym and such, often looking at him with a quizzical expression. This annoys Cale to no end. Birdy just kind of appeared around the Gym one day, general consensus concludes that it used to be in the Gym storage, but broke free and has found ways to open its pokeball from the inside.

Cale
- Unevolved Eevee (Aileen)
Both Cale and Phoenix received Eevees for their 15th birthday. The fact that Cale refuses to evolve his has become a point of contention between the two of them, and is one of the few things relating to the Gym that Cale stands up to Phoenix on (excluding the finances)

- Vulpix (Celeste)
Often found play-wrestling with Aileen, Cale caught Celeste while he was out traveling. He was never too seriously into battling, but seeing the world caught his attention, so while his brother stayed home, he went out into the world. One of the better-trained Pokemon, Celeste is also the most friendly.

- Ditto (Seb)
Cale is currently trying to train Seb to transform into Snow and take on his duties in the Gym battles so he can focus on the paperwork. It has been disastrously unsuccessful.

- Sableye (Luck)
Cale can't quite figure Luck out. He caught Luck during his travels, but never really battle-trained it. Luck loves attention, and if he doesn't get enough of it, he starts chewing on the furniture and luring the neighbors into freshly-dug pit traps. Cale budgets out money each month to buy the gems that Luck feeds on.

- Mightyena (Fido)
Cale's other battle-trained pokemon is Fido, who learned the hard way what it is like not to have much backup. Cale dislikes seeing his pokemon hurt though, so Fido often had to keep going without orders from his trainer.

- Farfetch'd (General Fetch)
General Fetch won't answer to any other name, and fancies himself the real trainer in the house. He sets up training exercises for the other Pokemon while Cale is away, and seems to want to leave for the gym circuit judging by the papers and fliers he keeps stashed in his nest.

Occupation: Gym Leaders. Cale has a bit of money stashed away from his earlier years, he also runs the finances of the gym. Cale is the only one who has any clue about the money they have.

Name: Stanley "Stan" Hobart.

Physical Description (Including age, gender, appearance, etc.):
Stan is just past sixty. He's pretty wrinkled and careworn with a head of rumpled grey hair and a moustache. He usually wears suits of a decent cut and thick black-rimmed glasses.

Character "Classes" (Pick at least two)
Gentleman/Traveler.

Emotional Traits:
Stan is carefree and unattached. He's never had to work very hard at anything until now. His father's career assured him a place as a prominent lawyer and he's mostly just drank and philandered his way through life. Now he's living on crackers and ketchup and dodging hotel bills. Generally irresponsible, distant and selfish. His heart is in the right place, though.

Legendary:
Zapdos. He wants Stan's help fighting the disease in exchange for a clean slate on Stan's part. Zapdos believes that Stan's family interests (held in trust by his son Finn) can provide manpower, money and drive. Finn himself is unwilling to cooperate and has a distaste for Pokemon shared by his business partner, Stan's daughter Zoe. Stan's wife has removed herself from corporate life and refuses to speak with Stan, thus leaving the task of convincing Finn to swing the Hobart family fortune into the cause of combating the disease. Stan is entirely unenthused, but also entirely broke.

Starter Pokemon and/or Team:

Gengar (Robert)
Stan's first Pokemon. They have a casual friendship. Robert was Stan's filing clerk during his law career.

Quivala (Bubbles)
Affectionate, fiery and occasionally unstable. Unable to evolve.

Arbok (Franz)
Elderly. Served as Stan's eyes and ears during his marriage and fatherhood. Generally nosy and conceited. Imagine the Siamese cats from Lady & the Tramp, then make them a Pokemon cobra.

Vaporeon (Lamia)
Essentially a spoiled pet. Competent fighter despite her laziness and indolence.

Stan has several Pokemon in storage, most notably his Snorlax Horatio and his Gardevoir Irma.

Occupation:
Formerly a lawyer. Disbarred for gross incompetence after being caught in an affair with nine of his clients. Oops. Now, he mostly bicycles.

Bio:

Born to wealthy parents, shuffled through college as a popular sheister and party animal, brought into his father's law firm. Puttered around with amateur Pokemon battling in his younger years and got into gambling over it in his late thirties. Married at thirty to Alice Rosenbaum. Had four children with whom he maintained a distant but earnest relationship until the eventual disintegration of his family due to infidelity, gambling, failure and booze. He remains unconcerned by these developments.

Name: Beatrix Alraul

Physical Description:
A woman in her mid- to late thirties. She has waist-length crimson hair that drapes down her back in tendrils but she normally pulls it back in a loose ponytail or braid. Her skin is pale and she has grey, sharp eyes. More often than not her thin lips are set in a frown and she has her arms crossed or in her coat pockets.
She wears black pants, pumps, short gloves, and a crimson v-neck with no sleeves. There is a black ribbon around her neck, tied with a silver loop. She also wears an ankle-length red coat with a black belt, it offers no real protection from the cold but helps with the wind. Sometimes she wears her oval sunglasses, otherwise she sits them on her head or tucks them in the v of her shirt. Her pokeballs sit three to a chain hanging from her pant belt, one hangs over her left and her right thigh.

Character "Classes":
Scientist- She used to work for Silph Co. Her main field is micro-biology but she’s had some medical training. Says she’s brilliant but only in the most bitter tone.

Rocket- After Silph she joined up with Rocket so she could have more freedom with her experiments on Pokemon. After she discovered she had a heart she destroyed all of her work and almost the entire facility where she was stationed. She managed to escape with a few Pokemon eggs and a death toll of over 50 members, other scientists and grunts included. Although she may be on their hit-list they haven’t bothered her too much in the decade since she left.

Traveler- She was born in Saffron City and worked there during her time in Silph. She lived in Johto during her time in Rocket. Once she left she was constantly on the move for a year and found she enjoyed not being in a lab all day. She took up exploring all of Johto and eventually made her way back to Kanto.

Trainer- While traveling her eggs hatched and she found out that training pokemon was more fun than dissecting and studying them. Although she still studies them. But she actually trains them too, along with her original partner. She’s attempting the gym thing in Kanto. Battles confuse her.

Emotional Traits:
From her time as a scientist she has learned to be objective, cold, and calculating. When she fights she attempts to keep it down to a science. She is also stubborn, a bit rash, and trying very hard to not have a break down after a pokemon that shouldn’t exist walked up to and spoke to her in a language she could understand.
She is normally strong willed except with food. Good food cannot be denied. That and nice sunglasses. She’s materialistic.

Legendary:
Suicune walked up to Beatrix one day and said to her, “I chose you.” Ever since then she has been fighting a mental break down. It chose her because of her muddied past and brilliance in her field. She may possibly be able to help find a cure for the Pokerabies.

Starter Pokemon and/or Team:
Metagross (Helios)
A pokemon she has had since her time in Silph Co. It was a Metagross by the time she left Rocket and helped her to escape. Possibly reflecting her cold disposition, it seems to have suffered no trauma from killing the Rocket members during the escape. She uses it to leisurely fly across the region.

Gyarados (Igresh)♂
She won a disgustingly weak Magikarp at a fair in Olivine City. As a joke she named it Igresh, forgetting it could possibly become a Gyarados. Now it’s one of her favorite pokemon and enjoys sunbathing on its head. It’s a lot less cold than Helios but managed to inherit Beatrix’s temper, or maybe she matches his.

Charizard (Kelvin)♂
One of the stolen eggs hatched into a Charmander. It’s the friendliest of her pokemon since she kept it in storage until she decided to try raising pokemon. She lets if fly along side her and Metagross while traveling.

Magnetron (Ohma)
Hatched from another egg she stole from Rocket. Likes to pretend it’s female. Found it useful for evading Rocket thanks to its ability to make electronics malfunction and give people earaches. It’s also her preferred battle pokemon.

Occupation:
Although she is a brilliant scientist she no longer works as one and spends most of her time traveling and training her pokemon. She has a great deal of money saved up from her jobs and likes to gamble during trainer battles if she battles at all.

Bio
She’s a traveler, mostly running from her past. Even though she feigns being strong the appearance of Suicune has shaken her foundations. The experiments she did on Pokemon and the people she killed nag at her. But what haunts her is that she possibly wasted so much time in Rocket when she could have remained in Silph and sought a cure for the pokerabbies. Now she is thinking, and looking on her own since she can’t return to Silph or Rocket. When she’s not working with Helios on solutions she is playing the gym game and exploring Kanto.

Beatrix is currently in Vermilion City enjoying the sea and planning her next route.

Name: Captain Charlie Romaine

Physical Description:

Gender: Female

Age: Mid-30s

Appearance: 5'9”. Brown eyes. Short black hair. Thin face, but well-toned body. Rarely seen outside of her uniform, but when she is, she's wearing a white collared shirt and khakis.

Character "Classes": Officer/Battle Girl

Emotional Traits: Ruthless. Cold. Emotionally insecure, so she covers it up with bravado. Unapproachable. Often lonely, but doesn't let it show.

Legendary: Mew. Even though she is said to be ancient, she still has the playful attitude of a child. When the Rabies crisis hits, the other Pokemon tell her to "get serious" and so she chooses the most serious person she can find. She is impulsive, immature and noisy, but she's also lonelier than she lets on. Pee-ess, all that "pure of heart" stuff is getting scratched for this RP. I don't even know what "pure of heart" means, but Charlie ain't it.

Starter Pokemon and/or Team:

Growlithe (unnamed): Belongs to the police force, technically. She's been given the orders to train him in the line of battle and evolve him into an Arcanine.

Bulbasaur (Nuada): Yes, that's a male name. Nuada is Charlie's personal Pokemon. He hasn't been trained much, as Charlie s busy training Growlithe. He was given to her by her uncle when he learned she had been promoted to the rank of Captain. He promises to give her a rarer one when she becomes Chief.

Occupation: A Captain in the Celadon Police Force. One of two captains below Chief William Jackson. Is under orders to euthanize any Pokemon near the city who is suspected of having rabies as part of the city's new “Don't Panic!” policy.

Bio: Left her home on the outskirts of Viridian at age 14 to become a Pokemon trainer. She was naïve to a fault, and was shocked at how crime happened on a daily basis in the big cities. At age 16, she started training to join the police force and gave all her old Pokemon away to be guard dogs for poorer families. She was stationed in Saffron before being transferred to Celadon seven years ago.

Additional Notes: Will probably get a gun at some point during the RP. Also, Officer Jenny jokes will be met with death.

EDIT 8,723,510: Shutting up about the guns.

PostSubject: Re: Applications   Applications EmptySun May 16, 2010 2:43 pm

Name: Lance Brewer

Physical Description (Including age, gender, appearance, etc.): Lance is an unattractively pale and skinny young man. His lifelong disdain for the outdoors has resulted in his being sheet-white, and not in the pretty, silky way. The only sign that he’s ever gotten sun in his entire twenty-three years is in the smattering of freckles across his nose. The smug grimace he wears on his face all the time doesn’t help any. He is bone skinny and has platinum blond bangs that he keeps straightened and swept to the side with hairspray because he thinks it looks sexy (only to keep it back in a ponytail half the day while he’s doing lab work). It’s also worth mentioning that without three-hour morning straightening he has a blonde little jewfro, and it puts up an even bigger fight than usual on humid, rainy days. He prefers purple, white, and red clothing and tends to have a beret with some Pokéball-pattern of these colors. He’s surprisingly with the Kanto style when he’s not at work, but he doesn’t get to wear his favorite clothes a lot since the dress codes demand better than polos and jeans. He doesn’t pull off a suit or a labcoat well, but this tends to be what one will see him in the most due to this profession.

Character "Classes" (Pick at least two) Rich Boy: Lance’s parents are filthy rich and buy him anything he wants. It’s not very good for his moral growth or his perception of Pokémon.

Aide: He has worked under Professors Birch and then Oak for a while now and has recently become an official employee at Oak’s lab. Lance could hold his own if he wanted to, but he’s not experienced enough to and is secretly afraid to go out on his own in the world.

Doctor: Lance isn’t a doctor in the typical sense. He’s not the selfless go-heal-‘em doctor. In fact he’s not really a doctor or vet. He’s a geneticist and is more of a gene-doctor than anything.

Emotional Traits: Selfish, petty, aloof, cowardly, hypocritical, pushy, prideful, and seemingly physically incapable of sympathy, Lance is not the most desirable person to be around. He’s particularly prideful in his intelligence and usually does his research simply for the sake of looking good. Deep down he’s actually pretty lonely, but that’s because nobody’s good enough for him! Duh! It’s their fault, not his. They need to smarten up before he’ll grace them with his friendship. He’s not about to lower his standards just so he can befriend a bunch of idiots. Who needs idiot friends?

He tends to view Pokémon more as tools and work dogs than anything. Although there are the special couple that he personally likes, he treats them like work dogs too – even Lark. Even though deep down he does care, he rarely shows it because he’s still too good for friends. He feels that showing affection to Pokémon is a sign of weakness and has far too much pride for it.

Legendary: Raikou chose Lance due to Lance’s extreme intelligence, easy access to technology, and his knack for gene manipulation, which may be useful in finding a cure – or a less peaceful way of mass eradication. Lance is most unwilling and under the impression that he has far better things to do than save some random Pokémon he doesn’t know, but Raikou is determined to kick Lance in the rear and make him put the same effort he put in his education into it – mostly by dangling Lark’s well-being over him.

Starter Pokémon and/or Team: Espeon, Male (Lark): Lance’s first and most bonded Pokémon and perhaps the only living thing Lance has ever bonded with at all. Lark was the household pet while Lance was growing up and only recently evolved into an Espeon under Lance’s training or…utilizing. Or something. He took Lark with him when he left home because he wanted him, and his parents give him anything he wants.

Alakazam, Male (Nelson): Lance’s most useful Pokémon and certainly his most intelligent. He has a sort of camaraderie with Nelson born of longevity. Nelson was Lance’s second Pokémon and was given to him as an Abra for his 12th birthday and has never let Lance down since, resulting in a sort of team spirit. However Lance is not entirely comfortable with Nelson being smarter than he is or able to read his mind.

Linoone, Male (Roger): One of the more objectified members of Lance’s team, Lance picked Roger out from a breeder and uses him mostly to perform menial tasks. Roger is sort of his footwork assistant.

Swellow, Female (Scarlet): Another objectified member of Lance’s Pokéassistant team. Scarlet was given to him as a Tailow for Easter and mostly left in a daycare until Lance left home. Scarlet is basically his personal messenger pigeon.

Shuppet, Female (Chrissy): One day while acting as Professor Birch’s assistant before he went to Kanto, Professor Birch found a Shuppet in his lab. He gave it to Lance and made Lance promise to take good care of it. Lance did not have a choice. The end. Chrissy is now used to do anything else the rest of his Pokémon can’t do. He has a heavy disinclination to Chrissy because she constantly plays tricks on him in an attempt to win his affection, but it does the exact opposite. However she’s useful enough that constantly putting her in PC Storage and taking her out again is too tedious, and Pokéballs in the lab are pretty taboo, so he lets her have free roam.

Lance has many other Pokémon in PC Storage for other work, including a Flygon, Rapidash, and Lapras.

Occupation: Lance is a researcher in Professor Oak’s lab.

Bio Lance was born into a household with very busy parents and started his life out alone despite his loads of money. That doesn’t make him any better of a person though. He still grew very elitist and conceited due to his money and intelligence, especially throughout his time at a small, private school, at which time it might have been fueled by envy when he saw that others were surrounded by friends and he had none due to his youth and general intolerableness. Whatever happened it resulted in him being a complete jerk.

He took example from his parents and worked hard in school though less because he had good work ethic and more because he took immense pride in his knowledge and refused to allow himself to be associated with ‘those no-good prison-stuffing slackers.’ Regardless of his motive, he did excel with straight A’s, skip three grades, and graduate at the top of his class. His parents then sent him to Kanto for studying abroad. Of course college was not so much of a breeze as the first years of his life, but he certainly remained in the top brace of students. This wasn’t good enough however, and anger smoldered in him that he was not the best. He took on extra activities like assisting in labs and classrooms, but somehow it never quite seemed to be enough, and he wrestled with other students for the top. Perhaps if he had not been so young, he could have been at the top like he wished to be.

After many long years Lance found his college days drawing to a close and the doctorates degree he’d been striving to for so long closer than ever before. He officially interned at Professor Oak’s lab for a while shortly before graduating, and after graduating he decided to stay at the lab as an official doctor of recombinant DNA technology. Work-wise he’s a coveted catch. Personality-wise? Not so much. Having done so much assisting in school he had plenty of work experience, but his attitude resulted and still results in more than a few groans and behind-closed-doors rants. He mostly works on his own; he’s noticed he gets evaded a lot but doesn’t think much of it besides the fact that it’s a little strange. He used to be able to tug on the sleeves of older and more tolerant professors when he needed something, but after a while they too kept claiming to have existing plans. They really only keep him because his research is admittedly pretty fantastic.

Name: Nathaniel Vasliez

Physical Description (Including age, gender, appearance, etc.):

Nathaniel is twenty-eight, but looks a few years younger. He stands at about 5'9 and has an average build. He wears black out of habit, as he was never a fan of the white rocket uniforms. Despite being a member of Rocket, he normally only wears the 'R' on his shirt under his jacket. The R he wears on his shirts is more calligraphic than the normal one, and is easily passed off as a brand logo. He has a ring with the crimson 'R' on it for official ceremonies, but does not wear them otherwise. He wears a dark grey jacket and black shirt and pants. When it is too warm for the jacket, he wears plain shirts. He keeps a handgun and two knives hidden on his person at all times. He has brown hair which falls just above his green eyes. His left arm is scarred from the last gang wars in Celadon before Giovanni. . . stepped in to end the conflicts.

Character "Classes" (Pick at least two)

Rocket: He’s a rocket Executive. He’s the youngest of the group, promoted primarily due to the crippling of some of the other Executive's pokemon during the hostilities in Celadon.

Traveler: As a member of Rocket, he has been stationed all over Kanto both as a Grunt and as an Executive. He has worked primarily in Celadon and Saffron, as they are two of Kanto’s largest cities and require the most Grunts for Rocket’s enterprises to operate efficiently. Since his promotion to executive, he has been placed in charge of the Vermillion area as a condition to Giovanni’s authorization of the Acaris Project.

Scientist: While not at the doctorate level in anything, he has done enough research to be able to double-check the work of most of the scientists who work on the Acaris Project. He did not do this to the end of second guessing his own scientists, but rather because he thought he would have to do most of the preliminary work himself. It was only when he became an executive of Rocket that he could finally be sure that he would not have to do most of the work himself, relying only upon what he could hire.

Black Belt: As a grunt, he fought in some of the last gang wars, both with and sans pokemon, before Giovanni established Rocket as the dominant force it once was. He also has spent a few months on more traditional arts than street fighting, Eskrima, Muay Thai and Ju-jitsu particularly, starting shortly before the gang wars opened in earnest.

Emotional Traits:

He is a cold, anti-humanitarian man. Always has been. He is not the product of conflict, but he has always been an idealist who sees greed as one of man’s most sacred emotions. He does not use people, and is generally bluntly honest, as he doesn’t care what others think and therefore has no reason to lie. He will very rarely compromise what he believes. He wishes to be allowed to do as he wishes and will do the same for others, so long as they do not interfere with him. He is anti-social, and only values what he receives value from. He does not accept or extend charity. He affiliates with people because he gains something from them, and in exchange gives them the chance to grow by knowing him. He does nothing for free, and would rather destroy his work than have it commandeered. He is tired of governments dictating to businesses and organization how they run themselves. He seeks to create his own utopia of sorts, Acaris. The simple existence of it will draw people to it, the kind of people he wants. Acaris, of Sub-Kanto, or maybe the name would go to the subterranean region. Either way, he wishes for the freedom to do as he wishes and reap the rewards- or pay the costs.

Legendary:

None yet. You guys can decide later whether he should get one or not. He's more providing facilities for the research to be done or a hiding place than an actual cure.

Starter Pokemon and/or Team:

His pokemon, prior to the massacre that ended the gang wars, had no nicknames. After what they did to end that, he renamed them after figures or landmarks from the Greek underworld

Aggron (Kokytos) M – Nicknamed for the river of wailing, Kokytos is one of his favored leading battle pokemon. It is named such because its duty was to ensure that enemy gang members did not escape, and it was doomed to listen to the wailing. It has slain very few enemy pokemon, as the gang wars typical forewent the use of pokemon in favor of guns and lower visibility.

Absol (Erebos) M – Named for the god of the dark and mists, Erebos is his finisher, sent out when he feels that his other pokemon cannot finish a job. While it is the pokemon that has been with him the longest, it is the one he is least likely to lead with in combat. He was one of the four pokemon sent by Nathaniel for the main assault.

Milotic (Nyx) F – Named for the goddess of the night, her job was fire control. Quite literally, she made sure that no rogue fires broke out during the night. She is his favored pokemon in watery conditions and is the only pokemon that is not currently involved first-hand in his Project Acaris.

Scizor (Minos) M – Named for one of the judges of the dead, Minos was one of the four sent in during the main assault. Minos is the second most used of Nathaniel’s pokemon. It is the only pokemon that is used primarily to discipline other pokemon as part of Project Acaris.

Gallade (Acheron) M – Named for the river of pain that runs through the underworld. He was badly wounded in the assault, but bears no marks thanks to the wonders of pokecenter technology. It is one of his less used pokemon, but one of his stronger. It sees slightly more use than Erebos, and, like Erebos, contributes to Project Acaris by using Psycho-cut to help cut out tougher sections of rock.

Sandslash (Makaria) F – Named for the goddess of blessed death, she was one of the assault pokemon during the massacre and was the least wounded of the four. She alternates use with Kokytos, due to their similar typing, when it comes to battle. She digs with the Grunts’ pokemon and Kokytos as part of Project Acaris.

Occupation: Rocket Executive

Bio:

Nathaniel had an uneventful childhood. His parents didn’t particularly like him because of how he thought, the emphasis he’d always put on the self, his general lack of generosity, and his anti-social tendencies, which made it hard for them to show him off. He was good at just about anything he put his mind to, but that was because he only put his mind to things he enjoyed. After he left home, he traveled, trying to figure out how to make a way for himself. It was not that he didn’t know what he wanted to do; it was that he couldn’t find a place where he was willing to do it. So he turned to Rocket, where he could do as he pleased. Now he could build. But building was just a means to a means to an end. The second means was Acaris. The city, or nation, depending on how things went, of the entrepreneur, of freedom for the creators. The world’s pokemon friendly laws, the government dictating that there could be no paved roads, no guns, that businesses and people had to act in x way in order to retain their livelihoods, drove him to seek a place such as Acaris. He couldn’t find it, so he’d build it. And the likeminded would come to him as the project moved along. He’d spent three months trying to figure out how to build the place without Kanto’s government interfering. It was on a trip through Vermillion that he arrived at an answer in the nature of Diglett’s Cave and the logical extension thereof. If a bunch of unorganized pokemon could build that in however long it took them, organized pokemon could expand the tunnel into a cavern, in which his city could be built. He was already a member of Rocket when he came to this conclusion. After the massacres of Celadon, where Giovanni sent in pokemon, using slash-variant moves, to slaughter the rival gangs and make it look as if he’d used men, Giovanni made Nathaniel an executive due to his part in it, and the death of one of the junior executives in said conflict. He then gave Nathaniel the go ahead to “build his city,” a phrasing Giovanni may not have meant, but will be held to.

In pursuit of building his new entity, Nathaniel devoted his studies to the sciences behind it. Basic physics and architecture. He had no mastery of these sciences, but he had enough. He would be able to avoid affecting any existing cities, would be sure only to build under routes and undeveloped land, or, when it was necessary or most efficient build underneath a city, only the outskirts, the least inhabited areas. He took part in these studies before he joined Rocket. After, he would go back and review the material, otherwise he turned his full attention to the business he was now part of. He sold what needed to be sold, bought what he was asked to buy, but never stole. Theft is not something that business should do, and something he would not do. This bit of morality never interfered with his duties, as there were always plentiful volunteers for such jobs. He began studying Eskrima, Muay Thai, and Ju-Jitsu at this point, as he'd been warned that he would need to be able to defend himself. He progressed quickly with these, and turned his mind back to the problem of means. He had a location, or at least a method, now, but he had no means of procuring services. He had no way to get Giovanni to help him with his endeavor. He steeled himself for a long wait as he clawed his way through the ranks.

It turned out he wouldn't have to wait all that long. He was stationed in Celadon when Flash decided to make the first strike. Those fools. The started picking away at Rocket salesmen and thieves. They'd been operating under the illusion that Giovanni was a man of weak constitution. Celadon's then-Executive was the weaker man of the two, and he was the one who orchestrated the opening cruelties. Knife fights. Attacks on homes. Strings of fires. These were just the opening spectacles of a month long war. Everyone in Celadon knew what was taking place, they just turned their minds away from it. It was unfashionable to talk about what was happening in the seedier parts of Celadon. The police allowed the criminals to pick each other off and most of the higher-ups accepted bribes for aid from both sides, none of which were upheld. Of course, not coming to the other's aid was the same as aid, so, in a way, they fulfilled their contracts. Nathaniel was one of the vendors attacked on the opening night. He found it amazing what damage a pipe could do to a man. Especially when that man was trying to get behind you, to cut you off, and expected, as the standard unspoken rules of engagement dictated, that you would let him. Both attackers were dead before they reached the hospital. In their defense, Nathaniel had been warned, or rather, heard the clamor of some of the other attacks. He was pulled from vending duty to fighting. His success on the streets lead to him being placed in charge of a unit during the Slaughter on the 31st. No one would say what month it was. That was intentionally forgotten. Dates had power. Anniversaries can reinforce and obliterate morale. But they remembered what happened. Pokemon, something which were prohibited by the standard unspoken rules of engagement, were ordered into use by Giovanni himself. Pokemon that knew slashing style moves other than cut --cut was done without the knifelike precision of the other moves-- were the shocktroops, while those that did not blocked the exits and served whatever role was necessary. The police accepted the flimsy bit of deception, knowing the cost of doing otherwise. They filed it away as a series of knife assaults. Since no pokemon and no guns were used, in their eyes, there had been nothing unacceptable done. According to the unspoken rules of engagement, they could continue to ignore the war. There were no more hostilities after the Slaughter. The Executive who had been in charge of Celadon was promoted to Saffron after the battle --the area was tamer and his pokemon had been specifically targeted, once identified, by Flash and were severely wounded, and the Executive there had been demoted due to ineptitude-- and suggested Nathaniel as his successor due to his part in the battle. Giovanni approved. Since Giovanni's approval of Acaris, Nathaniel has become one of the most efficient executives, now of Vermillion thanks to a transfer as part of the Acaris Project and as a reward for another Executive. This is his payment, his end of the contract, for the aid with Acaris.
